Maddy holds a Master’s in Radio from Goldsmiths, University of London, and now works as a sound designer and audio producer, specialising in audio fiction and podcasts about culture and media.

They are also a TTRPG performer and GM, and have experience as a director, writer and voice actor.

Maddy previously worked as a producer and editor for Stripped Media, with credits on Picturehouses’ The Love of Cinema, Simple Politics, His Darker Materials and Women Vs Hollywood with Helen O’Hara.

They also edited Season 2 of The Story of Woman, an interview podcast which shares the stories of inspiring women. Most recently, they edited and sound designed the three-part documentary series The Story of Women in Kenya which explores the practice of FGM/C.

Maddy has worked as a sound designer on a variety of audio fiction projects, including Stellar Firma and Trice Forgotten for Rusty Quill, and the Audible Originals We Play Games and NT New Voices. They also worked on Zombies, Run! and Marvel Move, the fitness apps from Six to Start.

Maddy won two Audio Verse Awards for their work on Stellar Firma in 2020, for Environment Sound Design and Action Sound Design. They won the award for Action Sound Design again in 2021.

Maddy was the sound designer on Torchwood: Reflect and Torchwood: The Boy Who Never Laughed. These audio dramas are part of the Torchwood monthly range for Big Finish.

Currently, they are the producer for Dracula: 2004, the upcoming audio drama podcast from Starstrider Productions.
